He hasn't done it in 15 or 20 years of management. He hasn't done it in three seasons with us. So why do people think he's going to do it now?

10 games? IT'S BEEN FUCKING SHIT FOR 3 SEASONS

Think we should judge Allardyce after 10 games.

Until then get behind the club. Really think they need the fans onside .

3 or 4 times a season these days. I live in Cornwall. And many more times watching on TV.

I can understand someone who spends hundreds on a season ticket being a bit pissed off if they're not seeing what they want, but the fact I only get to a few games a season doesn't make me any less of a fan or my opinions any less valid.

My point would still stand even if I wasn't a West Ham fan and had never given the club any of my money. I'll say it again, Allardyce DOES deserve a chance to have a go at moving the style of play forward. That doesn't mean he'll succeed, or that letting him have that chance is the right decision, but he has earned the right to have a go.

We lost to Spurs, but that changes nothing. It was the first game of the season and we did okay.

If Pulis comes in they're really taking the piss. Moyes I'd have in a heartbeat.

Seeing this I think we should keep him!

Pulis and Moyes to be considered for West Ham post if Sam Allardyce gets fired TONY PULIS and ex-Manchester United boss David Moyes will be considered as possible candidates to take the West Ham post if the club decides to get rid of Sam Allardyce.

Big Sam's position came under threat at the weekend after he presided over a 2-1 opening day Premier league defeat at the hands of Tottenham.

Moyes' disastrous spell at Manchester United ended after less than a year in charge and has been interviewed by Turkish giants Galatasaray since then.

Moreover, Moyes was thought to be only willing to work at a club that would be competing in Europe, something which West Ham can't offer at present.

Pulis left Crystal Palace last week after unresolvable differences with Steve Parish over transfer targets.

And his stock risen after guiding Palace to an 11th placed finish last term.

Intriguingly, reports suggest Pulis and Moyes would be in the frame to replace Allardyce should he get fired.

However, Allardyce quashed such rumours when he said after the Spurs game: "If they're going to do it after one game they might as well have done it at the end of last season.

"Why wait until now? Why do the whole pre-season we've done, create what we've tried to create and buy what we've tried to buy under my stewardship and then do it after one game?"

I had the same thing out with him, Herm.

As far as I can tell, the ONLY backers he has left are no-showers at games. It makes a big difference, massive, when you've shelled out circa 60 sheets to watch Nolan amble about.

And to be told you're moaning over nothing, when someone has watched it on a stream for nothing, it's a bit rich.

Dapablo,

I buy a season ticket regardless of who's the manager because I'm a West Ham supporter. Why else would I buy one?

There's something a bit rich about people who don't pay to watch Allardyce's drivel, suggesting that those of us who do pay to support the club shouldn't moan about the shit he serves up.

Well I think it's safe to say he won't be in charge for start of next season

3 points from last 18 is not great.
But he's had worse stats and they left him in his post.
You do wonder what he has to do...

The game has changed a lot since fat man era at Bolton, well a lot of people have said that on here ?

Knowing Sam would be in charge did you buy a season ticket?

One Raducioiu! 5:10 Tue Aug 19
Re: Sacking Allardyce would be a big mistake
I'm fine with sacking Allardyce if we are in trouble and not looking like improving after we've played 10 games. And providing we get someone who is a better manager (Moyes would be my choice - I don't remember too many Everton fans moaning about their style of football).

But right now, it's just the same cunts having a moan and coming out with these ludicrous 'he wants to get sacked' 'he's making a point by not playing Zarate' conspiracy rumours.

Truth is, we've played one game, we were the better side, we were unlucky to lose.

That is on the back of a summer where - yes, our top striker got injured, and yes, we didn't look too great in our friendly games... but on the whole, we made some very encouraging signings.

Like it or not, Allardyce DOES deserve a chance to push us on, based on the fact that until now he has done exactly what the board paid him to do.

He may fail, but I am sick and tired of those who want him to fail, and want him to fail quickly.

stewie griffin 5:05 Tue Aug 19
Re: Sacking Allardyce would be a big mistake
I don't think it would be a 'mistake', but I do think talk of sacking someone after 1 game is ludicrous.

Saturday's defeat, though, does make the next two very big games. Thigs get a bit tougher after the next two.

Stubbo 5:03 Tue Aug 19
Re: Sacking Allardyce would be a big mistake
Surely the only two logical arguments for him staying are:

1. It would cost a significant sum to sack him
2. The board believe we won't be relegated with him in charge

On that basis, we will only change manager if none of the two above factors changes. 1 ends at the end of this season, 2 sees us in the shit, and making an important decision whilst under the wrong kind of pressure (and thus likely to get it wrong).

Any club with deeper pockets would have binned him last year... Name the last club with that level of fan unrest, speculation, and general apathy that didn't make a change? It just doesn't happen.

The only 3 I can think of is that Sullivan wants Zarate to play and is paying him significant wedge to be selected (having signed him before). If Sam just ignores him all season and generally sticks two fingers up at Sullivan, he might change his mind, but he'd have to be pretty irked to pay out the wedge referred to in 1 above.

As for 'the players are all behind Sam'..of course they all say that...if they said anything else they'd be training with the reserves and frozen out.
